“Both Gucci® and Mont Blanc® are synonymous with high quality and fashion,” says Ryan Leigh, optical manager for Hattiesburg Eye’s optical department. “Their eyewear frames are likewise second to none.”
Both lines of frames hold to the high standards synonymous with those venerable fashion names. Leigh says all of the frames offered by both brands are made with high-quality materials like stainless steel, and frames from both brands are available in standard and extended-fit sizes. “They’re designed to be not only fashionable, but equally durable,” says Leigh.
The addition of these high-end frames to Hattiesburg Eye’s lineup is part of the vision Leigh had for the optical department when he came on board about three years ago. “My goal was to realize new customer growth year over year. With the improvements and product expansions we’ve made over the past couple of years, that vision is becoming reality.”
Besides frame selections, upgrades in lens styles have also played a key role in that expansion. Not long after Leigh’s arrival, the clinic partnered with Hoya Vision, one of the country’s top digital lens processors. With Hoya’s capabilities, Hattiesburg Eye can now provide the best in lens designs and coatings (like Hoya’s EX4 non-glare treatment) that are heralded as the most scratch-resistant, smudge-resistant, and dust and water-repellant on the market.
Leigh is especially pleased to offer Hoya’s Diamond Dye 500 tint, designed specifically to improve vision for macular degeneration patients. “Studies have shown that this particular lens tint improves sight in MD patients by an average of 8-15%, so we’re very glad to offer it to our customers who struggle with this condition.”
Whether frame styles or lens treatments, Leigh says Hattiesburg Eye’s optical department has one mission—to meet the eyewear needs for as many people as possible in the Greater Hattiesburg region.
“We recognize not everyone has the same needs and tastes,” says Leigh. “That’s why we strive to provide new styles like Gucci® and Mont Blanc® that greatly appeal to a particular segment of our customers.”
Leigh says the response so far has been enthusiastic. “I think our customers are thrilled by the expansion of choices. The new brands began to sell as soon as we put them on display.”
And Leigh says they’re not planning to stop there—they’ll soon be offering frames from Tom Ford Fashions. “We’ve had a lot of interest about them from our customer base, so we’re quite excited about adding these.”
Although a few frame brands are presently only available at the main clinic on the Merit Health Wesley Campus in Hattiesburg, Leigh says there are still plenty of styles to choose from at their other optical locations in Oak Grove and Columbia.
“Our goal is to offer great products and services at all of our optical locations, providing our customers with style, value, and convenience.”
